What We Actually Do

We work on garage doors and the hardware that moves them: torsion and extension springs, openers, cables, rollers, tracks, and panel sections. A lot of the homes we go into around here were built between 1970 and 2006, with most of the stock dating to the 1980s and 90s, so we see a steady run of original springs and openers that have simply worn out on schedule. We don't do new home construction installs on spec, and we won't talk you into a full door replacement when a spring swap or a track adjustment solves the problem. If a door is cheaper to replace than to keep patching, we'll tell you that too, straight out, before you spend money on a repair that won't hold. What we don't do is anything outside the garage door itself, so don't call us for the opener's wiring to your house panel or for fence gates. We're based in Cape Coral, and we cover the surrounding area out to about a 20-mile radius. Close in, that means Trafalgar (2 mi SW), Mariner (2 mi NNE), Hancock (4 mi E), Pelican (4 mi S), and Burnt Store (5 mi NW). A little farther out we reach Lochmoor Waterway Estates, McGregor, Pine Island Center, Whiskey Creek, Iona, Burnt Store Marina, Suncoast Estates, Bokeelia, Cypress Lake, St. James City, Punta Rassa, Villas, North Fort Myers, and Tice, all within 6 to 11 miles. On the outer edge of what we'll drive to, there's Sanibel, Buckingham, Captiva, Fort Myers Beach, San Carlos Park, Gateway, Fort Myers Shores, Three Oaks, Charlotte Park, and Olga, 15 to 19 miles out. The mild, humid coastal climate here doesn't put the same stress on steel doors that a hard freeze-thaw region does, but it does mean galvanized hardware and weatherstripping wear differently than they would inland, which is part of what we look at on a service call in any of these areas.
